We’re excited to announce that there’s been a new update to our Toolchains. You can now save a Toolchain without selecting any tools!

But the bigger update is the ability to have the toolchain listen for contact.add webhooks from Keap. Any time a contact is created in Keap, Keap will fire off a webhook that we receive. We can then run the toolchain, or simply tag the contact.

So, you may be wondering…why is this such a big deal?

The reason this tool update is pretty big news is because it will allow you to start running campaigns for any new contacts that get added to Keap.

So essentially, we can use this to trigger email validation, formatting fields, and any other campaigns that would benefit all newly added contacts.

Here are 5 different ways you can use Toolchains in your business:

  • Send text messages based on dates – Store the date someone gets added to your list and send them a text message based on that date. Let’s say you run a business where you follow up with new leads via text message. You can now send a text message at any time and date based on the date they get added to Keap. You’ll no longer miss out on any important leads or notifications!
  • Validate email addresses – Run validations as soon as contacts get added to your list to ensure that email addresses are correct and valid. This helps with email deliverability.
  • Run field updates – Combine fields, format fields, run action sets and more with just one http post…as soon as a contact enters your system.
  • Easy opt in – If you use 3rd party forms and need to opt in new leads, take care of it as soon as your contacts opt in.
  • Throttle emails – Send smaller batches of emails spaced out into your campaigns.Let’s say you’re running a huge event where multiple people are signing up for your list from various spots. To avoid throttling issues with Google, space ‘em out! And do it without lifting a finger as soon as your contacts get added to Keap.

This is just a small sample of what you can do with the new Toolchains update. Do you have any other examples? Tell us in the comments below!
