Feature Overview

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Smart Links allows you to, based on a generic link (click or thank you page URL), direct your contact to a specific page that is tailored to them. This is determined by evaluating the contact record upon the click of the link and checking to see if the contact meets specific criteria (tag, field value) that you have determined.

How to set up the Feature

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_tta_tabs active_section=”1″][vc_tta_section title=”Infusionsoft” tab_id=”1494369330301-9ec9f34f-03ca”][vc_column_text]

  1. Under Rule 1 enter the URL you would like people to be directed to if they meet the conditions you are about to set up.
  2. Select if you would like an action to be performed when the rule is met. If you would like an action to take place when the rule is met, select the tag you’d like applied when the rule is met.
  3. Click the blue “add a new condition group” to select what you would like the rule to be evaluated based on. There are five types of conditions:
    1. Field values – which base the condition on a value in a field.
    2. Tags – which base the condition on whether a contact does or does not have a tag on their record.
    3. Email Status- which will base the condition on the status of a contact’s email.
    4. Date – which will base the condition on the comparison between the date the link is clicked and the condition you configure
    5. Number of records with a tag – which will base the condition on the number of contacts that have a tag
  4. Select the specifics of the condition that dictates this Smart Link rule.
    1. If the condition is based on a Field Value select which field value you want the rule to be based on in the first drop down. In the second drop down, select an operator to evaluate the field with and then enter a qualifier into the last (text) field.
    2. If the condition is based on Tags select either “does not have tag” or “has tag” in the first drop down. In the second drop down, select which tag you would like this rule to be based on.
    3. If the condition is based on Email Status select the email status you want this condition based on.
    4. If the condition is based on Date in the first dropdown select which operator you want to evaluate the date on. In the second dropdown, select what date qualifier you want to use (in a field, current date etc). Depending on your option in the second dropdown, other dropdowns may need to be filled (field selector and timezone, or tag). Fill out the dropdowns.
    5. If the condition is based on the number of contacts with a tag select the tag to count. In the second dropdown, select the operator on how you want to count the tags. In the last field, select the amount.
  5. Repeat 3-4 as many times as necessary to accommodate for all the conditions you would like to make for Rule 1
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each different rule you want to have in your Smart Link. If you need a new rule, click the blue “New Rule” button to create one.
  7. Enter the FallBack URL (if no rules are met) This is the url that people will be sent to if they do not meet any of the above rules on the smart link.
  8. Select if you would like an action to be performed when people are sent to the fallback URL. If you would like an action to take place when the rule is met, select the tag you’d like applied when the rule is met.
  9. Name the feature and save
  10. When your feature saves, it will direct you to a page with two URL’s on it. If you would like the link to automatically re-direct after a webform is submitted, place the top link in the URL for the thank you page on your webform configuration. If you would like for a contact to click and link in an email and be automatically re-directed to the appropriate page, use the second link PlusThis provides to you.
