Feature Overview

Date Calculator (formerly known as What’s the Date?) allows for you to calculate a specific date – an allotted period of time in advance. This is useful for timed offers, calculating when the next contact should be made, and calculating trial end dates.

How to set up the Feature

 

  1. Select from the dropdown a condition to start the date calculation with
  2. Select if you want to add or subtract from the date you started with and enter how many months (0 if no months are desired) and days (0 if not days are desired) to apply to the above action (either add or subtract).
  3. Select a field to store the affected date in
  4. Check the box if you would not like this function to overwrite with a new date if there is already a date in the field
  5. Under Date Format Options – configure if you would like to store a humanized version of the date and time in fields and what format you would like the humanized date stored in.
  6. From the drop down select the field you would like to store the human-formatted date in.
  7. From the drop down select the field you would like to store the human-formatted time in.
  8. Name and save the feature
  9. PlusThis will provide you a URL for an HTTP post. Place this at the point when you would like the date calculation to take place

  6. From the drop down select the property you would like to store the human-formatted date in.
  7. From the drop down select the property you would like to store the human-formatted time in.
  8. Name and save the feature
  9. PlusThis will provide you a URL for use as a Trigger a Webhook action. Place this at the point when you would like the date calculation to take place
  1. Select from the dropdown a condition to start the date calculation with

Implementation Guide

To implement this feature, paste the Feature URL in a HTTP Post inside of your campaign. Ensure that you place the HTTP Post at the point where you want the feature to fire.

To implement this feature inside of Drip. Add PlusThis as a Drip Integration. You can then select PlusThis as the action, and from the dropdown you can select the PlusThis feature you’ve created.

To implement this feature, paste the Feature URL in a Trigger a Webhook action inside of your workflow. Ensure that you place the Webhook action at the point where you want the feature to fire.

Feature Tip

What do I put in the HTTP post name/value pairs?

PlusThis does not require any changes to be made to the default Name / Value Pairs.  Leave the entry as is already populated when you add the HTTP post. The default values are as such:  contactId   =   ~Contact.Id~

What do I put in the "add action" fields?

PlusThis does not require you to put any information in the Post Data field or check the “Send as JSON” box on the “Add Action” configuration.

What kind of Event can I use this with?

You can use the Event Name that PlusThis gives you as either a Record a Custom Event or a regular Record an Event action.

What do I put in the Trigger a Webook?

You can use the Trigger a Webhook action to trigger the PlusThis feature. Make sure to select “Post” and not “Get” in the action. Then paste the URL that PlusThis gives you for use in the action.
