Feature Overview

Contact Validator allows for you to perform a validation on the email address and/or phone number and apply a tag to a contact record, and tag based on whether it is valid or not. You can also update the email address or phone number with a fully qualified format if it is found.

How to set up the Feature

  1. Choose if you would like to validate the email address by toggling the switch on the right-hand side.
  2. If you decided to validate the email address, select which email field you would like to validate, toggle if you would like to update the email with any suggested updates, and select any tags you want to be applied if the email is found as blank, valid and/or invalid
  3. Choose if you would like to validate the phone number by toggling the switch on the right-hand side.
  4. If you decided to validate the phone number, select which phone field you would like to validate, toggle if you would like to attempt validation with a country code and select all country codes you would like to try. Toggle if you would like to update the field with the fully qualified format.
  5. Select any tags you want to be applied if the phone field is found as blank, valid and/or invalid
  6. If you would like to check to see if the phone number is a Mobile, VOIP or Landline, you can choose to do so, however, Twilio incurs a fee for each lookup.
  7. Name feature and save
  8. PlusThis will provide a URL for use in an HTTP post.
