Feature Overview

Contact Creator allows for you to create new contact records from field values found in custom fields on an original contact record.

How to set up the Feature

  1. The feature will open with the creation of Contact 1 already started.
  2. On the left, select what value in the new contact you’d like to populate.
  3. On the right, select which field on the original contact record where the above value is stored.
  4. If you would like to populate another field on the New Contact 1 record, click on the blue “add a field mapping” button. This will add a new line of fields you can select.
  5. On the left, select what value in the new contact you’d like to populate.
  6. On the right, select which field on the original contact record where the above value is stored.
  7. Rinse and repeat for every field you’d like to populate on the new Contact Record.
  8. Click on the blue “add a contact” button if you’d like to create a second contact record from the values in custom fields on an original contact.
  9. Repeat above steps until all fields and contacts have been created.
  10. You can toggle the switch if you’d like to erase the field data from the original contact record. (Note, if you do choose to erase the data, the changes cannot be undone after erasure).
  11. Select which tag(s) you’d like to apply to each newly created contact.
  12. Name feature and save
  13. PlusThis will provide a URL for use in an HTTP post in your campaign. Place this at the point you want the new contacts to be created (usually after a webform submission).

Alternatively, you can add this to run inside of your Drip application, by connecting your PlusThis app to your Drip account, and then select the PlusThis Integration and then select the feature you want to run at that point in your workflow.

To implement this feature, paste the Feature URL in a HTTP Post inside of your campaign. Ensure that you place the HTTP Post at the point where you want the feature to fire.
