Of the three things that tend to get your email privileges stopped (low engagement, poor contact quality, and spam complaints), complaints are the easiest to prevent.

The goal is to have less than a .1% complaint rate. And the most common reason people leave a spam complaint is that you sent them something that they didn't want, sent too often, or didn't ask for their email correctly in the first place.
