The referral center gives your partners convenient templates and links to share your offers and content. So, it's important the leads get set correctly to their affiliate.

Currently, the only way an affiliate gets set is if the lead comes through the referral link that's provided in the center.

This is a good start, but there are a few scenarios this leaves out where you would still like to set an affiliate, but can't.

• I'm running a summit. I want an easy way for my speakers to have their guests register for the event and get credit if they purchase anything.
• From time to time, partners reach out letting me know they referred someone who didn't end up using their link. It would be nice to have a way for me to be able to manually update their record.
• I have sales reps and just want an easy way to give them commission for any programs they sell customers without forcing them to use the referral center links.

Having this kind of flexibility would be nice, which is why we created our new Set Referral Partner Tool.

Set Referral Partner tool allows you to set the referral partner you want when someone hits your http post in Keap.

Here's an example of how that looks.

For the longest time, I've had no way to help assign referrals to partners who had someone signup without using their link.  Using PlusThis, I can simply set the referral partner myself.

In PlusThis I open up the Set Referral Partner Tool and select the Referral Partner we would like to set for this use case.

PlusThis gives me their handy tool url that I can copy and use in Keap's http post where I want to trigger this.

In Keap, I can make a simple campaign where we just apply a tag on the referral we want to assign to Adam.

Now I have more flexibility for my referral partners. They are happy that they don't lose out on earned commisssion. And it's super easy to setup and maintain.
